Eid-el-Kabir: Olamiju, Osun S.A Public Health Felicitates with Muslim



...counsels them on Adherence to COVID-19 Protocols


The Special Adviser to Governor Adegboyega Oyetola on Public Health, Dr Olasiji Olamiju has urged Muslims to strictly adhere to the COVID–19 protocols as provided by the State's Technical Committee on Coronavirus and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), to avert the spread of the dreaded virus during this year’s Sallah celebration.

Olamiju who emphasised the significance of Eid-el-Kabir in strengthening the bond that binds humans together, advised all muslims to embrace the virtues of love, charity and sacrifice as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Mohammed and the need for people to observe personal health and safety rules during the celebration.

The Public Health expert, in his Sallah Message, felicitated with Governor Adegboyega Oyetola and other entire Muslim Ummah and wished them the guidance and blessings of Allah.

”I wish all Muslim Allah's blessings, guidance and protection, every individual and communities should ensure total compliance with all rules and regulations to avoid contracting COVID-19.

"It is important to practice good hygiene as recommended by NCDC during and after the Sallah celebration.

He reiterated that “the ultimate goal remains our collective ability to take responsibility by following the existing safety protocols and guidelines. For your safety and others: wear a mask, use sanitizer or wash your hands with soap under a running water and maintain physical distancing”.

Olamiju, therefore, wishes all muslims a peaceful celebration and to continue to stay safe.
