He charged the association on leadership, taking keynote about health, sacrifice, diligent and companionship. He advised us to see our current position as an opportunity to serve and have an impact. Also, he advised us to be fearless, make sacrifices and be time cautious in all our dealings as our position is about time. “If you must be a good leader, you must abstain from anything that will stain your name and a leader must not be afraid of criticism,” he added. He continued by advising that we must not see our current position as the end as there is more in life  that we can offer. He further explained how he was once a student like us, who served in different capacities concerning student movement, as the PRO of NANS, President of department, etc., and still serving presently as the Secretary of NAFST.

The Acting Chairman, Comrade Omoniyi Afeez, appreciated Dr. Akin Fagbemi and called him a true leader and a father in struggle. Also, Comrade Afeez said that he really respect him for creating time out of his busy schedule to host us. He then made a request from him on how he will personally help students due to his antecedent in student struggle and how the agency can come in too. The Chairman answered him by saying he will always be ready to be of help to the association and that he has a foundation that caters for that already as long as we provide a proper template.
After much deliberations and engagements from senators and the Chairman himself, we reach the following conclusions:
• The Agency will be ready to collaborate with NANS to establish OYRTMA Student clubs across all tertiary institutions in Oyo state that will serve as Mayor for the agency and help in sensitizing the public.
• The Chairman will be ready to collaborate with the association in creating job opportunities that will help the indigenous students to work while they study.
