FIRE OUTBREAK: FIRE RAZES FED. POLY FEMALE HOSTEL IN EDE

A fire outbreak broke out late Wednesday in South Campus of the Federal Polytechnic, Ede, Osun State.

Sola Lawal, the Public Relations Officer (P.R.O) of the polytechnic, in a chat on Thursday told pressmen that the cause of the fire was unknown during the time of the interview.

He also stated the building was a female hostel that was still under construction.

Lawal noted that, though no life was lost, properties were destroyed in the incident.

He, Nevertheless, commended the men of Osun State Fire Service and their Federal counterpart for responding quickly to the distress call, which according to him, prevented escalation.

 Fatai Aremu, the Administrative Officer of Osun State Fire Service when contacted stated that, firemen in Oke Fia Unit received a distress call from the scene late Wednesday and men were immediately mobilized to the polytechnic.
