#BayelseDecides: DAVID LYON DECLARED WINNER OF THE BAYELSA STATE ELECTION

The APC governorship candidate in Bayelsa State, Mr. David Lyon, has been declared winner of the Bayelsa State 2019 governorship election.

The INEC returning officer, Prof. Faraday Orumwense announced that APC had 352,552 votes while PDP had 143,172 votes.

David Lyon, who won in six of the state’s eight local government areas, defeated his closest rival, Senator Douye Diri of the Peoples Democratic Party who won in two local governments.

The six local government areas won by the APC are Brass; Nembe; Ogbia, Southern Ijaw, Ekeremor and Yenagoa while the PDP won in the Sagbama and Kolokuma/Opokuma local government areas.
