FIRE GUTS HENRY CARR HOSTEL IN UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS

It took the courageousness of some students to put out the fire, it is a shame that, there were no working fire extinguishers on the premises.

The inferno gutted the hostel at the University of Lagos, Yaba-Akoka, in Lagos State.

The fire began at Room A 202 when the occupants of the hostel were not available.

The incident made the institution's postgraduate students scurry for safety, calling for fire service to no avail.

Thanks to the bravery of some students who put out the fire.
