FEDERATION OF IJESA STUDENTS' UNION NATIONAL HEADQUARTERS APPEAL TO IBEDC ON ELECTRICITY ISSUES

Comrade Oladipo Mayowa Olawale, on behalf of Ijesa populace appeal to Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company to restore Electricity in Ijesa Land.

There's no doubt that the current predicament that has befallen the electricity power sector of the land is having a debilitating and an exasperating effect on both the students and the indigene of this noble and great land. It is highly sardonic that the power supply sector has failed to exercise a well appreciated distribution of electricity to the nooks and cranks of the land thereby drowning the integrity, honour and economic stability of the land in an ocean of shame.

Today marks the 70th day of no power supply throughout the land. This has hindered the progressiveness of the academic stability of the students in which there's no light to do given assessment and assignments, there's no light to charge their electronic gadgets which includes phones, laptops, lamps and torchlights. Even there's increase in the crime rate in some students area and indigenous sides. Many has lost their valuable properties to this incessant blackout.

On this note, we the above Union is tendering our sincere plead to the prominent personalities in Ijesha land to please find a quick and permanent panacea to our recent condition of darkness and blackout.

We call on all the eminent and distinguished politicians in Ijesha to see into this matter. Right from Hon. Babatunde Ayeni, Asiwaju Fasuyi, Rt.Hon. Wole Oke, Hon. Akinrigba Seun, Hon. Festus Babatunde, Rt.Hon. Timothy Owoeye and others.

We will be glad if this matter is well addressed and attended to with immediately effect. Thanks in anticipation.

Signed:
