UPDATED: MORE POLICEMEN REINFORCED TO DINO MELAYE’S HOUSE AS DINO YET TO GIVE UP




The police have reinforced over 50 more officers to  Senator Dino Melaye’s Abuja home. This is in reaction to the Senate report yesterday, that, legal procedures had been taken versus the police for laying siege to Sen.Dino Melaye’s residence since last week Friday.

The Nigeria Senate are optimistic that its request will bring about freedom for the embattled senator, who is currently the representative of Kogi West Senatorial District at the National Assembly.

Recalled that, adekka tv reported about the incidence when the siege entered day 4.

It is now gathered by Adekka tv correspondence in Abuja, that is likely police entered the building with force, as it is believe that,  Sen.Dino Melaye is inside the building.

The police reported that, Sen.Dino Melaye is wanted for the assumed shooting of Sergeant  Danjuma Saliu who is attached to 37 Police Mobile Force during official duties along Aiyetoro Gbede- Mopa road in Kogi State who is still in the hospital.

As part of plan to get him surrendered,it was alleged that, the police on Saturday cut off the power supply to his residence which doesn't bring the desired result.

Jimoh Moshood, the Police Spokesperson said that, Sen.Dino Melaye has ignored several callings concerning the attempted homicide. He further stressed that, Police will not leave his residence until he is arrested.

Senator Biodun Olujimi,the minority leader of the house reacted that, Sen.Dino Melaye will not be left all alone as they are solidly behind him, the excerpt of the statement is giving below ;

“We don’t want to be lawless that is why we are taking steps to see how we could handle the matter legally".

“The senator cannot run away, his passport has been seized by the police. Whatever it was that they want to arrest him for happened since July 2018".

“If he didn’t run away between July and now, he can’t run away. I felt very disgusted when I got to his house this morning and I discovered that there were over 12 police vans and more than 22 policemen there, seeking the arrest of one man".

“I wonder why they should do that when they can easily ask me as the Senate Minority Leader to produce him on a particular day and at a particular place. It is only if I failed to do so that they can issue a warrant for his arrest".

Buhari Media Organization in their own reaction, advised the embattled Senator to surrender himself to the Police.
