UPDATE ON JAMB: NO JAMB SALE UNTIL JANUARY 2019




The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has reported that  their will be no selling of registration forms for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) till January, next year.

The spokesman of the board,Dr. Fabian Benjamin, brought to light this to reporters yesterday night.

Benjamin reported that the board had withdrawn the ideology of commencing the sale of the forms in December following the federal government’s reducing the amount for the sale of form and the registration fee, which will be effective from January,next year.

Recall that Adekka TV informed the public last week that the form will be on sale this month according to Dr. Benjamin.

With respect to Dr Benjamin, he said that the candidates have duration of six weeks for full registration once it opens in January,next year.

“The attention of the board has been drawn to information going round in some social media that JAMB has already begun the sale of forms for UTME but we are not commencing sale of the forms until January 2019, and the window period will be for six weeks,” Dr Benjamin quoted message.

He encourage the anticipated candidates to  give a careful attention in this time so as not to be the victim of swindlers.

Dr Benjamin reported that JAMB will make fully sufficient publicity toward the purchase of the UTME forms.

Dr Benjamin added that the board will act in accordance with the directive on reduction of the registration payment.
