The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC),Oyo State Chapter has warned Buhari led administration to pay the new minimum wage before the 2019 general elections.

This admonishment was made yesterday in Ibadan,the state capital,by the Chairman of NLC in Oyo State,Waheed Olojede during his remark at the 2018 Pension Day celebration which was set up by pensioners in the state.

The NLC Chairman,Waheed Olojede, notified that the union does not plan to compromise on the new minimum wage of N30,000 and must be paid before the 2019 general elections.

With respect to the NLC Chairman, “The issue of the new minimum wage started long ago before the election and must be resolved before it."

“I call on the National Assembly to give the report of the tripartite committee accelerated hearing whenever it is sent to them by the President."

“This is the time the National Assembly can pay back to the workers in Nigeria.”

Emphasizing that when their is no followers, there can not be leaders; Waheed Olojede encouraged them to put into consideration the workers who are experiencing pain because of unsufficient salary.
