GROUP TO HOLD POLITICAL DEBATE IN IBARAPA

Ahead of the 2019 election, the Better Ibarapa Initiative, a not-for-profit, non-religious and non-governmental Ibarapa based organization is set to host a political debate for candidates aiming to represent Ibarapa Central/North Constituency in both the Federal House of Representatives and Oyo State House of Assembly.

In an invite seen by Adekka TV, the debate will hold on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Adegoke Nur/Pry School Hall, Igboora by 10am. It was also stated that members of the audience are expected to be seated 30minutes before the schedule start of the debate.

The debate, according to the organizing committee, provides an unbiased platform candidates to articulate their position on issues of importance as well as intimate constituents of their agenda and programmes and as such, the live non-participatory are not expected to wear any material branded in support of any political party.

Expected also at the debate are political, traditional and religious leaders, heads of all security agencies, Local Government Chairmen, professional and non-professional bodies, youth and students' organizations across the five towns of the consistency. Audience outside the venue can watch the debate live on the Facebook page of Better Ibarapa Initiative.

For the debate to achieve its purpose, participating candidates will co-mingle both Yoruba and English languages in the course of the debate. The general public have been advised to desist from act of violence has adequate security measures are in place and defaulters of any rules guiding the debate will be apprehended.
