Nigeria Ex-Defence Chief,Alex Sabundu Badeh, is dead.
Alex Badeh, who climbed the ladder to the level of Air Chief Marshal in the Nigerian military, was shot dead yesterday.
Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, the Director of Public Relations and Information, Nigerian Air Force (NAF), affirmed it in a statement signed and made available to reporters yesterday night.
The statement stated that,Badeh died “from gunshot wounds sustained when his vehicle was attacked while returning from his farm along Abuja-Keffi Road”.
“On behalf officers, airmen and airwomen of the Nigerian Air Force, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, commiserates with the family of the late former Chief of Defence Staff over this irreparable loss".
“We pray that the Almighty God grants his soul eternal rest”, the statement reported.
Alex Badeh happens to be the Defence Chief under ex-President Goodluck Jonathan and have a short duration served in same role when President Muhammadu Buhari came into power.
General Gabriel Olonisakin succeeded him on July 13, 2015.
