President Muhammadu Buhari presented the 2019 budget at a joint session of the National Assembly today.

During the time of the budget presentation by President Muhammadu Buhari,he was booed by a part of the Lawmakers.

The lawmakers, who are believed to belong to the main opposition party,Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),  booed him as he gave explanation of the various accomplishment in the country. They spoke in unison, ‘No!’ at each mention of an accomplishment.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmakers being annoyed with the continuous booing, aggresively challenge their counterparts in the Peoples Democratic Party, which brought about exchange of blows while the president went ahead with his budget tender.

Trouble commenced when some APC lawmakers grabbed the placards which some of their PDP counterparts designed to make use of in protesting versus the president.

When President Buhari reported that, “We have weathered the storms and made progress on every front,” added that “The economy has recovered well,‎” the PDP lawmakers echoed,  “Nooooo! and Boooo!”

President Buhari, has being quoted during the proposal, “We thank the Armed Forces and Security Agencies for their efforts and sacrifices in protecting the nation. We have also made many efforts to enhance transparency and accountability in public service delivery".

“Inflation has declined from 18.2% in January to 11.28% in November. Foreign Capital Influence has also improved".

“Trading is a significant contributor to our country’s economy. But we must strengthen other areas such as Information Technology and Entertainment; all hands must be on deck to ensure the country succeeds".
