BALLON D'OR: LUKA MODRIC BURST DECENNIUM OF RONALDO AND MESSI SUPREMACY
Luka Modric,the Croatian and Real Madrid super star has won the 2018 Ballon d'Or, which make him to become the first player other than Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi to have the award since 2007.
Luka Modric,a mildfielder and 33 years old, assisted the Croatia team to reach the men's World Cup final and happens to be the first Croatian player to have the individual victory on the prestigious prize, which the vote was casted for by journalists.
The award night was staged in Paris yesterday evening, the official gathering also involved the women's group category and this is the first time since the establishment of the award in 1956, the women's category was won by Norway's Ada Hegerberg, the formal beginning of the women's Ballon d'Or winner.
Ada Hegerberg assisted Lyon to win the women's Champions League title.
The French young player,Kylian Mbappe,won the newly Kopa award for the best young player.He overwhelmed with brilliance performance for France as Les Bleus triumphed in the world cup hosted by Russia.
