AFCON 2019:CAF STRIPPED CAMEROON OF 2019 HOSTING RIGHTS
Cameroon have been deprived of receiving duties for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations because of the procastination in their readiness for the tournament.
This was made known by the executive committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Friday, as the outcome of the decision in their overextended meeting in Accra, Ghana.
The Next year's expanded show of the historical biennial tournament will be held in June and July, with 24 countries taking part in it.
Cameroon is presently the holder of the cup in the last year edition triumping Egypt 2-1 in the final, were named as hosts for the next year edition in a 16-team tournament, only for CAF to affirm an increase in the teams to participate in July 2017 in Morocco during a conference.
The President of CAF Ahmad Ahmad announced that the federation will now make efforts to "determine a new organising country by the end of the year".
The country that have interest in hosting the tournament now have until the end of December to submit bids, with the final winner expected to be announced instantly after the deadline.
