SOKOTO GETS FRESH DEPUTY GOVERNOR

The name of the new deputy governor of Sokoto State is Mr Manir Dan’Iya,he was sworn in as the new deputy governor of Sokoto State yesterday.

Mr Ahmed Aliyu was replaced by Mr Manir Dan’Iya who tendered his resignation letter to contest for the 2019 governorship election in the state under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Mr Aliyu resigned following the defection of Governor Aminu Tambuwal from All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The swearing-in ceremony took place at the International Conference Centre in Sokoto.Governor Aminu Tambuwal said his association with his former deputy governor is still intact.

Governor Aminu Tambuwal in his prayer prayed for the guidance from God for his new deputy governor to give him the ability to carry out his duties diligent manner.
