The National Chairman of the rulling party,Adams Oshiomhole spoke with the journalists on his return from Europe. Oshiomhole revealed that he was indeed quizzed by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) over the APC primaries before his departure during the week.

Against the rumors going around that he was engaged many times by the DSS,Adams Oshiomhole said that he “saw DSS only once and it was a conversation, not an arrest or detention”.

“The conversation centred around APC primaries. The question now is whether or not it is the DSS job to interfere in a political party’s issues. And if there’s an allegation of corruption, it is the responsibility of EFCC and ICPC.”

Oshiomhole also said that there is no truth in the reports that the DSS asked him to return the next day.

He said that his initial plan was to travel on Monday, but was postponed till Tuesday because of a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari.

He confirmed that he eventually left the country on Tuesday.

Adams Oshiomhole also said that there is no truth in the reports of his released on administrative bail, further adding that the governor of Kogi State,Yahaya Bello did not come to pick him up from the DSS office.
