KWARA STATE BYE-ELECTION:APC FLOORS PDP



The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) yesterday night affirmed that the Candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Raheem Olawuyi, is the winner of the available seat for the House of Representatives for Oke-Ero/Irepodun/ Ekiti/Isin Federal constituency in Kwara state.

The INEC's Chief Returning Officer for the bye-election, Prof.Abimbola Adesoji declared that Olawuyi got 21,236 votes, followed by PDP with 18,095 votes and Olawuyi is the winner of the bye-election.

Raheem Olawuyi is the APC Candidate in Kwara State for the House of Representatives Bye-election.

The Candidate of the Labour Party had 150 votes, the Peoples Party of Nigeria (PPN) had 76 votes and UPN had 42 votes.

Professor Adesoji added that, out of the 40,930 total votes cast, the total number of valid votes was 39,599 while 1,331 votes were not accepted.

Immediatly after the announcement,the Members of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Constituency went out,jubilating with joy in their faces.
