ASUU BEGINS INDEFINITE STRIKE
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has command its members across the country to start an indefinite industrial action.
This followed a meeting held yesterday by the leaders of the union at the Federal University of Technology, Akure, the Ondo State capital.
The ASUU National President, Professor Abiodun Ogunyemi, told reporters that the decision was taken by the Union due to the poor funding of universities in the country.
As a result of this,he directed all members of the union across various universities not to partake in any services, emphasising that the strike would be total and indefinite.
