2019 ELECTION:SHEIKH GUMI CAUTION GOV.MALLAM NASIR EL-RUFAI ON MUSLIM-MUSLIM GUBER TICKET IN KADUNA
A foremost Islamic Scholar, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, has opened up on his displeasure contrary to the preference of a Muslim by Governor Mallam Nasir El-Rufai as his running mate for the 2019 governorship general election in Kaduna State.
The Sheikh made the observation that the state was not matured for a Muslim-Muslim governorship ticket because of its environment and culture.
Sheikh Gumi pointed that such ticket will create more forces in the violence-ridden state and that other people of religions and other ethnic groups should be accommodated and not pushed away.
The respected cleric said that it is important for the minor indigenous people to be given adequate political equality in any state, depending on their political or geographical boundary.
