US DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE TO INVESTIGATE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH OVER SEX ABUSE
US 🇺🇸 is opening Probe on sex abuse in Catholic Church in Pennsylvania.
The US Justice Department is now investigating the Roman Catholic Church in the state of Pennsylvania over alleged child sex abuse.
It is in line with the jury report of the state which found at least 1,000 children had been abused by over 300 "predator priests" in six dioceses over the last 70 years.
The Federal prosecutors now Wade to investigate whether priests or other clergymen committed federal crimes or not,two people familiar with the inquiry were cited.
The US Attorney William McSwain has now requested the documents which are in the secret archives, confidential files,historical records, including finances, insurance coverage and clergy assignments among others which will be helpful in the course of the investigation.
"The Diocese are also partnering with the law enforcement in order to eliminate the abuse as a goal in any where it is happening in the society."
