President Muhammad Buhari is expected to make the final decision on the New minimum Wage as he Receives Committee Report.

President Muhammadu Buhari today received the meeting proceedings of the National Minimum Wage Negotiation Tripartite Committee.

Ms Amal Pepple Chairman the committee that involves the government and the organised labour officials as members.

It was learnt by Adekka tv that the document contained all the proceedings of meetings the Committee had, including the resolution to have N30,000 as new minimum wage.

With this latest development, the nation is expected to know the official stand of the President in the coming days.

Meanwhile, it was earlier broadcasted by Adekka tv in which the labour leaders have announced that an indefinite nationwide strike will start on November 6 if the federal government fails to meet the union demands.

This was contained in a statement on Sunday by President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Ayuba Wabba, and that of the United Labour Congress (ULC).

The unions were not happy with the government’s stating that no amount was agreed with the labour leaders at a meeting of a tripartite committee and also the Federal Government’s stand that it could only increase the minimum wage from the current N18,000 to N24,000.
