Sanchez's absence comes amid rumours he could be set to push for a move away from Old Trafford, as it was reported over the weekend that he is unhappy with Mourinho and that his agent is on alert to talk to any club should they come calling in January or next summer.
Sanchez performance this season so far is not up to the expectation. He struggled for form so far in this season, managing a single goal in seven Premier League appearances.
He only played 90 minutes once in this season, in the 2-1 win over Leicester City on the opening day, while he appeared for just five minutes in Saturday's 2-2 encounter with Chelsea.
